I need to upgrade the hard drive capacity and deal with the wireless problem. All my other PC and tablets can connect to wifi, so wifi is not a problem at allĢ) This PC has extremely low capacity which is about 80GB only.
I don't know anything about the original setting or compatibility.ġ) This PC cannot detect any wireless connection at all. In short, this PC don't belong to me but I got it and now it's mine. It's quite a long story on how I got this desktop.
Don't love having a 50ft ethernet cable winding around my room but it serves a purpose for now.I got a HP Compaq Small Form Factor DC7900. Far more stable internet connectivity so far. Turn off bluetooth (based off of some posts online)Ħ/30/20 Update - Ultimately, I finally gave up and ending up moving to ethernet. Turn off the ability for the WiFi card to manage power Any attempt to download a large file from any source will re-create this behavior. I can disconnect, reconnect and it's back up and running. The machine stays connected to the network but has zero connectivity. The download will start for several seconds before it eventually stops and lose internet connectivity all together. I have no issues with connectivity until the second I try to download a large file, usually 1GB+. Due to the placement of my desk, I'm utilizing the WiFi card ( RTL8821CE) vs. I have one single critique that I'm still trying to figure out (and this is coming from someone that works in IT management).
I don't game but I do audio production work so the extra horsepower is great. The design is fantastic and it's an absolute beast. Let me get this out there first, I love this machine. I recently picked up one of the new HP Omen desktops that were re-designed.
